Sir Knight Stanley Felix and his wife Tessie received the prestigious "Family of the Year" Award on June 16th, 2012 at the annual awards night ceremonies of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Knights of Columbus (K of C) Council 3742 held in the Santa Maria Club in Stephenville.  Lucy Gear, widow of former Knight Tom Gear - whose memory is honoured by the award - made the presentation. This award singles out exemplary contributions made by a Knight of Council 3742 out of more than 700 members.

Stan is a resident of Black Duck Brook and is a 4th degree Knight and Co-ordinator of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Knights of Columbus Roundtable affiliated with Council 3742.  Prior to the presentation, Grand Knight Irving Campbell read out an extremely impressive resume of Stan's involvement with both the Roundtable and Council 3742.  Stan's involvement with Our Lady of Lourdes Parish goes without saying as he is involved in almost every aspect of Church and Parish activities and has also demonstrated great leadership in his role as Co-Ordinator of the Parish K of C Roundtable.  Of course, all of these accomplishments would not have been possile without the support of his wife Tessie.

Brother Stan also received the "Church Service Award" in appreciation for "Faithful and Devoted Service" to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on January 31st, 2010.

On behalf of all parishioners, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish extends its sincere congratulations to Sir Knight Stan and his wife Tessie for their well-deserved recognition of their devotion and contributions to the Knights of Columbus and the Parish.
